Taking my first sip...

I'm currently in a Bible study that is spending the year diving into the Books of Wisdom- Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. I am currently knee-deep in the Psalms, a book that in the past I would read when I had no idea what else to read for my devotional time. I used to think of Psalms as a bunch of worship songs strung together willy-nilly. The more I study them, however, I am caught up in how each writer gave a detailed account of the works of the Lord and how we, the church, are to respond. Today I studied Psalm 112. Personal Highlight was verse 12- "Light dawns in the darkness for the upright." Perfect picture of God's work in my life- I am the thick darkness where His light is dawning. Trials can seem dark, but the light of His Word is dawning in the midst of my circumstances. I live in a dark world where his prophetic light will dawn. Praise the Lord for his word.

Today's coffee of choice- Alterra's Blue Heller. Earthy and bold...kinda like my husband :)
