My name is Bethany and I live in a suburb outside of Chicago with my handsome husband and baby girl. I started this blog in 2010 as a way of keeping up with friends and family. I teach English at a Christian school connected to our church.

Joel and I met on a blind date of sorts so I am a passionate supporter of blind dates. You might end up with a handsome date who loves coffee as much as you do!
I love tomato sandwiches.
Even though we currently live in Illinois, Milwaukee has a special place in my heart.
Sometimes I wear glasses. Sometimes I don't. I'm wild like that.
I love to read anything I can get my hands on- favorite books include The Sound and the Fury, A Tree Grows in Broolyn, To Kill a Mockingbird, and anything Ruth Reichl writes. I also have a deep love of Billy Collins poetry.
My husband is my absolute favorite person. Close second is my daughter, Ainsley.
